Bedaya Program
Bedaya Program (Palestine, 2012) is one of the Palestinian Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI) projects funded by USAID and CISCO. The Program will tap into global resources, mentors, and market makers; to assist high potential Palestinian ICT ventures, to accelerate growth and new market outcomes.

Jamil was the program manager of Bedaya and was responsible for
– Overall coordination of Bedaya project and delivery of the KPIs (assessment, roadmaps, sales campaign support, matching with mentor,..)
– Manage team of 3 business managers and stakeholder communication
– Conduct start-up and invention opportunity assessments
– Co-develop business models and venture roadmaps with founders/inventors
– Support portfolio of ICT start-ups (screened 42 and supported 20)
– Match Bedaya ventures with training, resources and Mentors
– Organize workshops and training sessions with global trainers
– Facilitate Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) visits to Palestine, 1on1 venture reviews, group training sessions and stakeholder briefings
– Deliver management and sales coaching for founders of Bedaya ventures
– Support the development of Bedaya Program’ Elements: start-up support, inventor support, PULL opportunities, and Seed Fund development (support for proof of market and proof of concept)
– Provide regular updates to stakeholders and Bedaya ventures
– Convert global tools/resources to local market needs (assessments, training,..)
– Identify and promote ICT business opportunities locally and globally
